Easy to Mount

Simply attach your ground line to bolt on the copper boot.

To Use:

     Surface preparations:
  1. As with all welding situations, surface prep is critical to a good ground. Ensure a “bare metal” area is cleared for attachment of the Magswitch Clamp. Failure to do so could result in an arc situation. (Note: An arc situation will void the warranty.)
  2. Magswitch Ground Clamp works only with ferrous metals.

To attach clamp:

  1. Determine type of boot for welding surface: pipe or flat boot. The boot is removed from the clamp by pulling out of the wire clip. Attach ground line to bolt on the copper boot.
  2. Ensure Magnet is in the “OFF” position (turn counter clockwise). Failure to do so could cause bodily injury.
  3. Ensure surface is bare steel – clear debris if present.
  4. Place clamp to surface. Turn Magnet Switch clockwise to “ON” position – full 180 degrees. (Note: the switch is easiest to turn when held against the metal ground surface.)

To remove clamp:

  1. Turn Magnet by rotating counter clockwise to “OFF” position – full 180°.
  2. Wipe debris from the clamp/boot surface.
